His major contribution is to Marathi literature. He has worked on thousands of book covers and illustrations, including many children’s illustrations. He works in almost all types of mediums.
He has written many articles on understanding art and has authored at least five books on art.
His work does not follow a typical format or style. He changes his style from time to time, and rather than focusing on surface-level painting, he aims to convey an inner statement through his work.
He is drawn to depicting the everyday lives of ordinary people — small vendors, street vendors, construction workers, painters, shopkeepers, and others engaged in small businesses. His work reflects contemporary thought regarding human relationships, drawn from Marathi and Hindi literature. This results in varied styles across his paintings.
Besides figurative work, he also expresses through abstract, absurd, and purely compositional forms. This experimentation keeps his practice evolving beyond a single visual language.
